In previous blog i wrote about top 10 safest cars according the Euro Nap.
Yes it is good to have safe car but on the other hand what if you buy the safest car, with load of airbags but the car had been crashed before and repaired and you didn't know that.
Look on this video this car was completely smashed, and after repair i don't know who would realize that it has been crashed.
So here is few tips how to find that out.
- Took the magnet and on the metal places you think it is crashed you can try to put magnet if magnet don't stick to the metal probably there is a body filler which is obvious the crashed repaired place.
- Check the dates on the windows (glasses) every glass on the car has its year of production written on the bottom so every glasses needs to be produced in the same year as the car.
- Check the clearance between the panels for example there needs to be the same clearance between the bonnet and side panels from each side, as well the clearance between doors..
- Check the vehicle history you can check on the police or with insurance house if there was any crash with the car before.
5.My best tip is always look car in the sun because at good light you can see any discontinuity.
6.The numbers on the front lights have serial numbers they should be the same - Orange peel test- today cars are painted in the factories with robot arm so it is mechanical process and during the repairs there are man who does that so the paint is not quality as the original so it looks like orange peel.
8.Paint checker- it is small device which check thickness of the paint and if is not the same on the all areas on the car obviously the car was repainted.
