Let's reason this together
Even though he made the choice to come redeem us as a God, he still at several occasions for about 33 years as Man had the opportunity to rescind His decision. He experienced how treacherous and villain man could be, he experienced pain and loneliness. He experienced how man could change from Crown Him to Crucify Him but he never uttered a word of complaint, rather he prayed. In the Garden of Gethsemane all he needed to say was 'Father, abeg I no do again' and boom, we are damned forever. He endured to the very end because He loves us still.
He died and great darkness and silence covered the earth but a miracle happened a couple of days later; He ROSE up from the dead, He was not RISEN from the dead (meaning, nobody helped him to rise but He did it because he had power over all as he is God).
This short piece below is my own way of telling of His love for me as He paid the Ultimate Sacrifice E WA GBO

How he paid the price for my sins

They took Him round the town with the cross
It was very long and heavy
They nailed His hands and feet to the cross
Because He loves me and my buddies

They stripped Him off his cloak and His tunic
Yes, they did it for their pleasures
They spat on Him and all jeered at Him
Yes they slapped Him and they mocked Him
.
.
He took my pains away with His pains
Yes, they beat Him and they flogged Him
He paid the price for my sins with His blood
Yes the beat Him and they killed Him
.
.
He died and darkness covered the earth
There was silence, a grave silence
There was so much sorrow because of His death
But He rose up on the third day for me
.
.
Up from the grave He arose...... Hallelujah
