This news has been flying under the radar it seems
I haven't heard anyone reporting on this, but TribalDex just got a 10x inflow of liquidity on February 21! Whereas just a couple of days ago there was only about 8M in liquidity on the DEX, we now have almost 80M. What happened?
While I don't know who is behind this, we can see where this liquidity is stored: in the SWAP.AXS:SWAP.SLP as well the SPS:SWAP.AXS pools. I don't know if these pools have been around just a week ago (I am assuming yes), but someone just moved a lot of $$$ into TribalDex. Volume in the other hand has increased as well, but not nearly as much as the liquidity. I would suppose that it should increase as well, since we now have 2 pools with almost no slippage.
Both pools have more than 30M in total liquidity with the DEC and SPS pools far behind. Again, if anybody knows about why this happened and who is behind this let me know (maybe @dalz has some insight?)! The most obvious answer would be of course the TribalDEX/Hive-Engine team, but 70M is a lot of money and I doubt they would use the company's funds without asking the community. It has to be due to only a handful of actors, since a spike like this does not come from many and smaller LP providers. Is some sort of official partnership of
@splinterlands and
@axieinfinity in the pipe works? Probably not, but it would be awesome!
