I have been looking in my social lens series at people in times of corona and trying to capture the social changes that go along with it.

There is probably hardly anyone in today's world that hasn't been affected by the virus. Different countries adapt to it in different ways, but there are also common patterns within the population and how people deal with this new - but already quite extended - period.

This is an attempt to capture how people are coping with this situation in their daily lives. Perhaps it might be interesting for future generations to see what happened in the year 2020.

Here we see a man using his phone. But it seems like he is having a rather difficult time: Perhaps his breath is condensing on his glasses so he cannot see his phone and therefore has to look besides them. The simpler way of course would be to remove the mask. But certain places mandate the wearing of masks, so this might be the only possibility to seeing his messages.

Social distancing is now - after about 6 weeks of implementation - beginning to wear off. People are often now much closer together than the prescribed 1.5 or 2m.

Will people get used to wearing masks? At least in European countries this seems rather doubtful. But as already pointed out in my previous posts people here favor individualized masks.

For children this situation must be very hard as well. For them, in their few years on this planet, it must be very alien to see everone with masks now. Some people have said that it is especially problematic because children need the feedback of facial expressions for a healthy psychological development. One can only hope that this sitaution won't be permanent; but even several years could be a serious problem for society.

Note: If the picture(s) in this post depicts yourself or someone you know and you want it removed, please let me know and I will remove it. As street photography is considered to be an art form in my country it enables artists to publish pictures of people in public places.
