About the project

Cryptage Origins is a "single-player strategic collectible game where the goal is to create your own blockchain venture by collecting various types of assets and using them to progress through the levels." (Cryptage) The developers created this game to test their new decentralized platform and framework: Selenean. The goal of Selenean is to help "connect game developers and artists along with gamers and digital asset collectors/traders into a single ecosystem that benefits all its participants" They felt that gaming on the blockchain is still not fully decentralize and that most developers are just in it for the profits. If you want to learn more, please check out their Reddit. I've spent about an hour playing this game and another hour researching this project. Please do your own research for your own safety.

Other thoughts?

Honestly, this game isn't for me, but I guess it's good enough to passed the time. If what they're saying is true, I support them 100%. After all, not many developers out there are willing to push the boundary of blockchain gaming. For example, they lack originality and monetary incentive (which is another reason why Cryptokitty is such an OG).
