I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will not be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty
(John 6:35)
In seven different ways, in the Gospel of John the Lord Jesus uses a metaphor to express something of His character and work. In the sixth chapter he describes himself as the Bread of life.
What did he mean by such a description? When compared to bread, He indicates that it is the sustenance of life: His Person is as indispensable to us as daily bread.
This new project of SCV with Apostle Darlenys and our beloved leader @ Sirknight and his collaborators will be a success with the help of God, since our Lord Jesus Christ is revealed to us on one occasion as the bread of life that is eternal not a peresedero.
The name of this project comes from heaven since our Lord Jesus Christ is revealed to us on one occasion as the bread of life that is eternal non-perestrian
Maybe that is not immediately clear. Now imagine that the Son of God had not become a Man, or that He had not given His life for us. Who could deal with the issue of our guilt? What hope would there be for lost people who seek to get rid of the burden of guilt that enslaves them?
Without the Lord Jesus and his atoning death on the cross, all human beings would be irretrievably lost and destined for hell. But, through the gospel, there is hope of life, of eternal life. "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
But God wanted to give us much more than that. Granting eternal life to those who approach Him in repentance and faith, receiving them as His children for the love of the Lord Jesus is not enough: God wants the redeemed to feed on Christ and be like Him. In practice, that It means prayer and daily reading of the Word of God, in the same way and with the same care that we feed and treat our physical body.
