There's a popular asante adage that goes " sankofa yen kyiri " meaning if you forget a culture and you go back to it, it is not forbidden. I have been doing a series of Steemit promotional posts dubbed " Steemit To the Masses" for sometime now. Steemit to the masses is a project designed to get Ghanaians set up on steemit to broaden the African community as a whole.
Many Newbie Steemians get lost as they enter into a whole new world when they register on steemit. The amount of new features and rules can be quiet overwhelming to the average Ghanaian and new steemit user. It is in the light to aid in spreading and supporting newbies in my jurisdiction that this project has been inititiated.
The project is designed to focus on introducing steemit to everybody (the masses) in Ghana. Without a community to support new steemians from Ghana who can relate in every way with themselves, most potential investors will be lost. As such, this post is to call out every Ghanaian and African to start and support new users from their jurisdiction and to create a community to support Ghanaians as they thrive in the new foreign lands.
I have begun promoting steemit to groups in my church. With the support of @ackza who partly funded 3 steemit designed shirts for the CR Dancing Crew in my church in the vain of promoting the steemit platform. Check This Post he made about the visions and plans we have made. I am going to get the opportunity to talk to all those who will be attending a worship night program coming off on the 11th of this month. Had it not been his support and encouragement, i might be lost on this platform. I have also organized a WhatsApp group where we discuss about how we are going make steemit a better place by writing good articles and sharing them. So far, there are only a handful of Ghanaians on the platform and i intend to expand this small circle to about 20,o00+ with the help of
@kwakumax ,
@othniel ,
@mcsamm and some few others.

This is the CR Crew who made a CR crew Tshirt with steemit in it to just promote steemit. The Tshirt will be used to perform live in my church this Friday. This picture was taken after their Dance Rehearsals.

Steemit is made up of several communities. It is the communities that give a sense of belonging to new users and turn them into great content creators and curators and even more investors. Without these communities, authors will be lost as their content will not be focused on the right group leading to less participation. As such a Ghanaian community on steemit forcusing on developing the writing skills, curation and investment idea of steemit in Ghana, will go a long way to spread steemit across the country. Now that the African community has been established due to the kind curtesy of @dragonslayer109, the mantle has fallen unto the individual countrymen across Africa to organise and continue accelerating the progress of this journey. As such i have taken the mantle to organise the Ghanaian community in order to produce good authors with impeccable writing skills.The community being established is to help teach, support and learn how to go about writing steemit articles, curating and supporting Ghanaian Authors.
The aftermath of a community in Ghana will lead to the exponential growth of Ghanaians on steemit. Steemit is still in accelerated growth process and numbers and quality are both assets to the community. I imagine a world where i would have to buy something from US to Ghana through steemit by just making a steemgig post and it will be 100% reliable and safe because i know the trustscore/reputation of the buyer. Also, i imagine a world where i can sell Ghanaian products such as kente made in the Ashanti region to anyone across the world and the payment would be in steem. The world i envision can only come to past through the mass adoption of steemit across the globe. And the responsibility i have taken upon myself is to tell Ghanaians about steemit and make it know around. Ghanaians have talented bloggers, investors and business men whom can all contribute their quota to the development of the platform. I can see Nigerians doing really great and producing good quality content to promote steemit and so is the south africans because they are all well organized. Kudos and well done to all the African Community Curators and Members for Making the African Community lively and successful.
CHALLENGES FACED SO FAR
Upon making a good introductory post and continually posting on steemit, most people give up upon 4 to 5 post since there are no good content curators associated with the Ghana community. They feel success is out of their reach and as such end up leaving the platform. To facilitate the accelerator project, i will humbly plead that curators should check out the #ghana tag for new introductions and post to motivate Ghanaians that success is not far from their reach and their voice is really heard and noticed.
There has been lots of support for my stay on the platform and i wouldn't be here if not for the support i received from my early followers like @ackza
@stellabelle
@thejohalfiles
@gigafart and many more. The journey is long and will need more support from you reading this article.
Big ups to @ejemai and the Nigerian steem team for organizing Nigerians and about to provide the first ever steemit hub in Nigeria. Also big ups to
