There is nothing much more glamorous than to behold the sparkling eyes of a child in awe. Capturing candids is all about moments and how fast you are on the shutter. But then some moments can be staged to portray a concept. Below is a set of pictures of a birthday events. Initially processed in colored. A three tier cake in monochrome. This isnt the usual birthday cake as most Ghanaians celebrate their birthdays without even a cake. Yet they were priviledged to get a three tier cake. The picture stands out due to the fall off of light from the on camera flash give a high dynamic contrast between the cake and the background. In monochromes, contrast between the subject and background is vital and a distinguishing feature that can not be over looked. I hope you get a cake like this during your birthday.
