The fun thing is, about that day... the day I was craving something sweet, and a customer of my mum's shop came in with a bag of matcha-flavoured chocolate brownies. It was like an affirmation that came true in a flash. Of course I was very happy.
After saying thank you, I immediately brought it inside and opened the package. I didn't know about the brand before, of course, because there are so many local cake brands open. It wasn't until I played around on the Tik Tok app that I realised that this bakery had gone viral. So, there's a possibility that my customers bought it because of the social media adverts too. Because I also got it so I know the flavour of this viral brownie.
The packaging says Choco Matcha, and the packaging is standard like any other brownie, so let's unpack the inside. The top has a thin green layer of matcha powder, then there's chocolate and choco chips too, adding to the pretty look of the cake.
As for the inner layer, once I cut it into slices, I could see that the matcha cream was very much in the centre. Even so, it's not too sweet. But please note that, the flavour of the matcha is really almost non-existent. But I admit that this cake is delicious.
For my not-so-sweet palate, this cake can go on my list to buy again if I want something sweet one day. I honestly love the texture of the ball, which is very soft and doesn't drag on the throat. My mum loves it too. So I'm very grateful to my kind customer.
