Hi guys!
This is day 4 of my Cranberries Tribute. I hope there will be a day 5 tomorrow, as my throat was a bit sore today.
Anyway. Today I picked Dreams. It was originally released as the Cranberries' debut single in 1992. It then appeared on the album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? as well as featuring on the 2017 album Something Else in a pared down instrumental version.
Neither Dreams nor the band's second single, *Linger, got a lot of attention when they were first released. When the Cranberries later toured with Suede, they caught the attention of MTV, which launched their videos.
The backing vocals on the original version were done by Mike Mahoney, Dolores's boyfriend at the time.
I hope this sounds at least sort of OK. I'm beginning to think I was a bit overambitious doing this. Dolores has big footsteps to fill. :-)
Hope you like it.
Hugs
Tiny
