Walk Along Jomtien Beach and City, Thailand.

Today I felt like stretching my legs after work by taking a walk along the Beach Road in Jomtien Beach which is a 6km stretch of golden sandy coastline along the Gulf of Thailand. Jomtien City or Jomtien Beach is about 165 km South East of Bangkok in the Chonburi Province. Jomtien city is home to many beautiful beach front resorts, hotels and high rise condominiums mostly all with beach views and at very affordable prices, it has become home to many world-wide foreigners because of the affordability, cheap living and location of the city.

It was the perfect afternoon for a walk as there was no blaring sun just cloudy, warm and humid as always is in tropical country. I have found that Jomtien City is more of a pleasant city to live then in Pattaya city were it gets more chaotic and crowded with tourist than Jomtien City. Jomtien City is the city, I would live and possibly own a condo if I were to stay here, it reminds me of the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia only it has the Thailand flavor.

It is a very relaxed chilled out city even for the dogs, you can choose to have a leisurely day on the sandy shore and enjoy eating as much cheap seafood and snacks available from wandering vendors, but at the same time you can also engage in the many activities available on the beach like jet skies, banana boats, parasailing and more.

If you love street food there are always many vendors waiting to serve you, just step of the beach and you will see them all lined up along the Beach Road, they have many varieties of Thai dishes, barbecued chicken pieces, ice coffees , fruit smoothies and many more selection of drinks and food.

Even summer dresses and many other clothing are for sale at your disposal or maybe a floaty for the kids there is a vendor for everything walking along on Beach Road or on the beach.

Honestly there is nothing you can't get along this stretch of beach or do, apart from having some of the world's first class hotels and resorts you will also find some of the finest restaurants and unique attractions. Like this huge look alike boat hotel and this beautiful coffee shop with this most amazing tree covering this coffee shop like one huge umbrella just awesome nature.

I saw this vendor making these pancakes they looked so fresh, clean and juicy, I just had to get myself one, sit by the beach eat and relax a little, I had already been walking for 2 hours, so ordered myself a banana pancake with cashew nuts and raisins sprinkled over the top cost me $2 US dollars if, It didn't fill me up so well, I would have gone back for seconds.

I saw many hungry Squirrels along the beach because of no tourist in the country feeding them, they have gotten that hungry, that they are not afraid to come take the food offering straight out of your hand from the few locals along the beach feeding them, cute to see but sad, surprisingly there were many Thai people and foreign locals just coming to the beach with there kids, to feed these little cuties.

Another thing I noticed there has been something unusual happening in Thailand, that I thought I would never see in this country, since they legalized marijuana less then a year ago there has been all these Ganj Coffee and Ganji Herbal Tea shops opening up.

This one just opened up about 3 months ago on Beach Road, Jomtien City, I must drop in one day and try one of there Ganj coffees, I am curious to find out what it taste like hopefully spin me out a bit....haha :)

Just before heading home, I drop into the Sands Cafe, they make the best cappuccino, while sipping on my cappuccino, I could see this angry, vicious storm brewing up over the ocean and it was going to hit the shoreline in a short matter of time.

I thought I better drown this coffee quickly and get myself home, my condo was only like 5 minute walk from the Sands Cafe, on my way home, I walked along the beach just to get a couple more shots of this angry, vicious storm that was going to hit us at any minute now.

I don't know what this dog was thinking but, I am out of here the winds had already picked up violently and trees were bending over the waves were crashing on the shoreline madly this was going to be one huge tropical storm luckily, I was close to home and made it in the door just as the flood gates opened up.

This was one chaotic storm, I live in a condo facing Beach Road, I could see this storm viciously carrying away anything that wasn't tied down and just in front of my condo the velocity of the wind snapped a tree causing it to block Beach Road luckily no person or car was going by and the drive way of my condo turned into a waterfall, I just had to go down after the wind and rain had eased of just to get some photos but despite the tropical storms Jomtien City is still an amazing city to live in, it might rain crazy at times but it's still warm even while it's raining and these storms pass over very quickly, as if nothing had happened but this storm was the most outrageous in the three years I have been living in Jomtien City, what a day what a storm it was the best.
