Since cults and communities are both groups of people, the difference can be seen in the relationship among those in the group. People in a cult have a CULTure which is the result of the connection they have among themselves while people in a community only have common interests without any connection. Lacking connection often serves as a motive for people to ridicule others as belonging to a cult when they are jealous of the relationship such people have.
