Hi, my name is Tim Lee. I am a voluntaryist. I am a believer that all human and mankind in this world should live as one big family, helping each other and supporting the community. I am a volunteer, a trainer, also part of the Board of Director in the Cybercare Youth Organization as a Treasurer.
Cybercare Youth Organization was founded in 1997 by this gentlemen with the name of Mr. Cheong Yoke Wai, with the mission of Empowering Dream. He always believe that every child have the rights to dream and deserve the right to fulfill their dream. Hence the core of this organization are youth and education.
I joined this organization since September 2014 until today. Under Cybercare Youth Organization, there is a program called STEP - Self empowering Transition & Employability Program. It is a high impart and structured learning program aimed to prepare the underprivileged youth between the age of 15 to 18 for the working world.
Through STEP, we aim to build the leader of tomorrow by empowering them with the necessary social and working skills.
Why do I volunteer?
I give them power to do things they think they couldn't
I give them hope on designing and creating the life that they want
The power of volunteering
In order to have a strong community, making sure that people are part of the community in where thy live, that they take care of one another, it all has to do with building connections. What better way to do that is through start volunteering.
Volunteering is about ordinary people taking extraordinary action.

This story of Hasan had made Cybercare Youth Organization the winner of Our Better World's Good Story of the Year 2017 organized by Our Better World, powered by the Singapore International Foundation. The video story garnered 1,052 votes, besting one other video story from Malaysia.
Volunteering to helps other can be a wonderful way of giving and loving others.
We all want to change the world, for a better tomorrow. But nothing going to change if you don't change.
