It was a night or should I say days of Splinterlands Twitch stream parties. Massive give aways have been sent out to Splinterlands players ranging from Dark Energy Crystals, Cards, Various NFT's and Chaos Legion Packs from the day before. Heck, if those give aways were any indication of how would the night or start of day go. It was showing good signs having won 2!!! Chaos Legion Packs earlier.
With having an awesome day with me and equipped with rentals trying for an End Of Season Silver 1 finish, I figured that I have enough Power to compete. Being friends and among the #nosleepgang family, a 1 DEC entry and the tournament being the first one from #NoSleepGang and without any commitment the day after. I decided to join my first tournament (signed in with less than an hour before checkin).

Match 1 - DNP (Lucky Break)
Match 2
Being matched up against a Champion Level player, I really got lucky first match since it was played out with me winning. The second round was a cheese strategy where I went Balls to Wall hoping to last the match.
Round 3:

This time around I was matched up against a player in my league, Silver. This matchup was won by raw power of my summoners Mylor Crowling and Kitty.

This match was against a fellow player that loves to hangout on streams. We are often present on #nosleepgang streams and have this common interest of learning and joining giveaways altogether. This match was fun for me since it was a slugfest. With both matches featuring the powerful summoner Yodin Zaku we were trading blow for blow, splash damage after after splash damage. It was a match decided by my team having higher damage output due to card levels.
Round 4:
stevthebeast
Heading into this match, AFAIK stevthebeast is among the high ranking players in this tournament. I had my work cut out for me. Sure enough, I was handed my first loss of tournament on my first match.
The second match if ever a manifestation of luck exists can be considered as one. With my team decimated and a single Kralus left, I managed to pull this one one with some lucky breaks.
The third match was a Hail Mary. This was a match that I was supposed to lose. But as luck would have it through out this day, a critical miss basically made me clinch it. To say that I dodged a bullet in this match is an understatement!!!.
Round 5:
jazzjam
This is in this round where luck ran out for me. And I know that it can only take me so far. And after taking a match each (1-1), my strategy for the rubber match didn't work. As for me am glad that I performed well on my first tournament. And being eliminated by someone who finished #2 (props jazzjam), is something to be really happy about.
All in all it was a successful debut for me. Hoping to join more tournaments and I better get better and be good.
