कैप्टन खान की शहादत को पहचान कैसे मिली-
कई सालों तक पाकिस्तान कारगिल युद्ध में अपनी सेना की भागीदारी होने से इंकार करता रहा. 2010 में भारतीय सेना की सिफारिशों पर पाकिस्तान सरकार ने कैप्टन खान को अपने सर्वोच्च बहादुरी पुरस्कार, निशान-ए-हैदर से सम्मानित किया. सीएनएन के वीडियो में, कैप्टन खान के भाई सिकंदर शेख कहते हैं, "मैं अल्लाह का आभारी हूं कि हमारा दुश्मन बुज़दिल नहीं है. अगर लोग कहते हैं कि भारत एक बुज़दिल देश है, तो मैं कहूंगा कि यह सच नहीं है."
How Captain Khan got his due
For many years, Pakistan denied the involvement of their army in the Kargil war. It was in 2010 that Captain Khan was awarded Pakistan’s highest gallantry award, Nishan-e-Haider, on the recommendations of the Indian army. In the video by CNN IBN, Captain Khan’s brother Sikandar Sheikh says, “I am thankful to Allah that our enemy is not a coward. If people say India is a coward, I will say it is not true.”
