They build my confidence. Hello, dear friends. It's been a while since I posted here; I just remembered my first day as a teacher, and I thought to share it with you, my friends. Thank you for stopping by my blog. So my first experience as a teacher was something I don't wish to forget anytime soon because those little creatures built my confidence.
So I'm a teacher by profession; I studied education at the university, and even after my school teaching was the first job I've ever had. So my experience as a teacher, my first day at school, when I got to the class that day, I didn't know where to start from. I was nervous because I didn't know then if they were going to enjoy or understand what I was about to teach them. And then came a little cutie who asked Auntie, "What is your name?" 馃ぃ At that moment I knew I was in the right place, not just to teach; I was there to build the leaders of tomorrow.
The passion for teaching grew instantly. I wasn't just a teacher; I was a friend. Their innocent eyes, pure smiles, and angelic voices, oh my. I started my lesson by telling them stories. You know one thing with children: if you want to get their attention, use stories, and that was the first thing I did too. And that made the teaching fun for both me and the children. They wanted more; that day felt as if it should never end. Being in that class with those kids made me realize that teaching is way more than just carrying a book and just standing and talking; it's about inspiring and encouraging those young ones.
I also learned creativity and patience when dealing with them. And there is this joy that comes with watching them understand what you are teaching them. No time wasting; every minute with them was worth it. And at the end of the day I understood that teaching means helping others to grow while growing yourself too. Thank you for reading through. See you next time, y'all nation builders 馃榿馃榿馃榿.
