Is investing on steempower better than investing on steem itself?

STEEM and Steem Power (SP) are the same coin, with Steem Power being locked-in amounts of the STEEM currency.

From an investment perspective, the differences between Steem and SP are:

• SP will provide you with an additional revenue stream
• Steem is liquid and can be sold at any time while SP needs to be powered down over a period of 13 weeks

SP also allows you to participate more fully in the Steem blockchain activities, since you get to vote on the allocation of the reward pool. This is where the additional revenue stream comes from (for example you will receive curation rewards from the votes you make).

So the trade-off is additional revenue vs liquidity, with SP having the additional benefit of fun!
