Yes.
Given the immense size of the Universe, a size which we cannot really comprehend or even imagine, it's a near certainty that there are other planets with the right conditions that have brought forth alien life.
Given the size of the Universe there will be a vast number of such planets. The evolutionary advantage of developing intelligence (despite its costs) also leads me to the conclusion that some planets will have intelligent life, with some much further advanced than our own.
Do I think that there are aliens among us, however? No.
Due to the immense distances between stars and galaxies and the fact that we have only very recently developed into intelligent life capable of sending any kind of signal (recent in terms of the age of the Universe) it is possible that other intelligent life does not know that we are here.
It is also possible that alien life does not have the ability to travel across such distances and, even if they did, they may not arrive with us for a very long time.
It's a shame. It would be nice to find out a little more about the Universe!
