One of the most associated quote with voluntaryism. But it's not necessarily true all the time. Instead, you might get into trouble when helping people.

I bet you have friends saying,
"What's in it for me?"
Which simply translates into
"Why should I waste my money, time and energy to help people when they can't help me back or I don't get anything?"
If you're a volunteer enthusiasts, you might get pissed off at them. But hey, they are not wrong, it's just a different point of view. The fact is, they're not interested. And they will be interested when they will.
Okay, back to you volunteers,
All of you volunteer for a lot of different reasons, and using different ways.
You could volunteer to cleanse your sins.
You could volunteer to kill time or follow the crowd.
You could volunteer to gain something.
You could volunteer to gain nothing.
You could volunteer to just help.
You could volunteer to give back.
And a lot more reasons that I don't know yet. Share your reasons to volunteer.

What could be their intention? I don't care.
What could be their results? Some might care, I don't.
What could be their significance? I don't even care.
What I care is their actions in making a difference in even 1 person's life. And that difference is all it takes.
