To be a child is to live in a magical illusion. A child sees a huge castle with thousands of nogmos, talking dragonflies, princes and princesses in a simple plastic jar with some decorations and toys inside ... and if that game takes place in a garden or area with trees, the imagination is enhanced.
A child's imagination is incredible and when you are a child, that imagination is also fostered by cartoons. That's the reason for my post today. A fond memory from my childhood was Hanna Barbera time. I enjoyed it so much.
My favorite character was Captaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain Cavermaaaaaaaaan! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 still his voice echoes in my mind when I remember, but to be entitled to Hanna Barbera time I had to meet certain requirements.
Little @tibaire studied in the morning, so at noon she would come running and like all the kids she would throw the backpack on the furniture, followed by the ritual "Blessing Mom, Blessing Nona" and back the magical "God bless you".
I would sit at the table and immediately my plate of food ... but not before, "have you washed your hands" ... a child always forgets to wash his hands. It was a waste of time, during the morning I had eaten a candy that had previously fallen on the floor, with my dirty hands I grabbed it, put it in my mouth and nothing happened! Even as an adult I understood the reason for so much hand washing trauma.
After lunch, I had to change my clothes (my uniform was already dirty) and take a bath. After a short break, the chore would begin. I sat down to do my homework. I had to do them all before 5 p.m., otherwise I would be punished, that is, without television, and that was the worst thing that could happen to me.
Before 5 p.m. I had finished all my homework and there I was, sitting a few meters away from the TV screen, enjoying my cartoons, among them "Captain Cavernicola", a strange ball of fur from the cave era, with a tiger cape and a troglodyte's mallet in his hands. By the way, he could fly and the most disastrous things always happened to him.
It was a cartoon that premiered in 1977 and lasted approximately 3 years. I remember it with great affection, because in my mind the most unusual scenes were created where my fondness for dinosaurs and the contact of humans with these animals came together. Sadly, years later I found out that dinosaurs and humans never existed at the same time.
I hope you liked my post today. I leave you the images while I was making Captain Caveman.

Me sentaba a hacer mis tareas.
