The day ahead,
Waiting to be seized,
The light streamed in,
An invitation to an adventure.

In the vast darkness of the inside,
Of this room painted in horror,
Wails echoing within,
Mine and of those unknown.

Misery had a sweet name,
To be opted for,
To be adopted,
But better yet left alone.

An angel outside the door,
Gestured to come following,
Post the first turn,
Turned into an evil sorceress,
Nothing of what it was earlier.

Deceived as all always are,
Imaginations of the mind putting a pedestal,
For every action and gesture,
Only a dream upon a wishful thinking.
