Hi my dear friends. Have you ever followed a map but got lost then it led you to another extremely interesting place? I had an definitely memorable experience when I had lost on a very beautiful and unspoiled beach - Phuoc Hai in Vung Tau, in the South of Vietnam. Today I will tell you about my exciting journey and the natural beauty of this beach
Last June, I rode a motorbike from Saigon to Vung Tau, the distance was about 95kms. I followed as google maps because I don't know the road. After 3 hours of experiencing a lot of sunshine, wind and dust, I also reached Vung Tau. However in front of my eyes, this was not a crowded beach as shown in the photo or the instructions of the previous guides. This is really a pristine beach with a few people . I was a bit nervous with my journey at first and afraid there would be no hotel for me to stay
Vung Tau is a very beautiful coastal city, the sea is everywhere. The place I went was not in the city center but the map led me to Phuoc Hai beach, Dat Do district of Vung Tau. On the way, I was very surprised and delighted with the scene that appeared in front of my eyes: one side is a high mountain, the other side is a vast blue sea with fishing boats
Luckily, I was able to rent a hotel for 200,000 VND a day. The people here are very friendly and lovely. The owner of the hotel even invited me to lunch after a long trip. In the afternoon, I went to the beach with my best friend to swim at the beach opposite the hotel. This place is extremely peaceful, almost only locals are fishing in the sea. There are very few tourists who come to bathe like us. Perhaps this is the reason why Phuoc Hai beach is clean and unspoiled. I like the scene where people are working, they smile gently and are friendly. The basket boats lying on the sand make for a very attractive photo. The sea water here is very clear and blue, the waves are not too strong, creating a peaceful scene
It is difficult to buy drinking water here, because there are not many shops serving it. We had to walk 2km from the sea to buy 2 fresh coconuts. After that, we watched the sunset and prepared to have dinner
Sure, at the sea we have to eat seafood. It was a surprise because the seafood here is very fresh and cheap. The dishes are hand-caught by fishermen in the sea and preliminarily processed and cooked right in front of our eyes. Meal with oysters, squid, shrimp is no more than 200,000 VND (10 USD)
In the evening, fishermen will sit on the dyke and talk after a day of catching fish. They speak fast and quite hard to hear, they are not too good at English anymore. But don't worry, you just need to use body language, they will immediately understand and friendly guide you carefully
Above is my interesting sea trip. Although it is not the original destination, it is a wild and attractive natural place like paradise. I really look forward to coming back to this place because of the beautiful scenery, the people and the food
