Introducing 3SpeakVideoShare
A Twitter account to showcase 3Speak videos
Why do I think we need this?
A couple of weeks back I ran across @HiveBlogShare on Twitter and immeadiately became intriqued with the idea. A Twitter account that retweets and shares blog posts on Hive.
Considering my own reassesment of my personal goals on social media I thought I should follow the account and start using those tags in my onw posts. While posting to 3Speak earlier this week I asked myself if there was a hastag already in use on Twitter. After looking it up there is some posting using #3Speak. But not many. From what little I know about Twitter and social media in general hashtags are what make it work for discovery.
After asking about the hashtag and 3SpeakVideoShare account, I got a reply from the official 3Speak account. They said that there wasnt one but if I was to do it to let them know and they would be sure to follow and help out.
So I did i!
I quickly hit up the HiveBlogShare account on Twitter and asked how they created the account and are operating it. You know, the nuts and bolts of "the business". I figured once I get it set up and running then I should be able to run it pretty easily with my day job. And sp far over the .ast couple days its been pretty damn easy. I love the look of the logo using the original 3Speak logo and I was able to create using Gimp in a matter of 5 minutes. Outside of using Gimp I've been able to do pretty much all of it on my phone.
I also went ahead and snagged the Hive account as well. Although I'm not really planning on using it much to reblog 3Speak videos on Hive. I will however from time to time most likely do some tutorials or updates on this account. I would like to do some longer form posts such as written interviews with 3Speak video creators.
My long term goal with this Twitter account is to use it for nothing but shilling for Hive and 3Speak on Twitter and to eventually delete my personal Twitter account and only post myy peersonal stuff on Hive.
Hashtags to use
Caps are important, Not only so I can find them but I've also read that they help with dyslexia.
Multiple times throughout the day I will go through and search some hashtags and RT (retweet) those posts that follow these tags.
These are the tags you should use in your posts on twitter and the main ones I will follow for retweeting your posts. I will look for them in this order so if you want me to find them easy then please use the top 1 or 2.
On a quick side note, I've ran across several tweets linking to posts on Hive that are tagged #hive, #3Speak and other variations and even going so far as to tag the official 3Speak twitter account but the actual post has a YouTube video embeded or linked to in it. This will NOT be tolerated by me. I will not link to any post that has a YouTube video in it. EVER!
