"Sure, it isnt the same level as physical violence or torture, but it can be socially, emotionally or spiritually hurtful. Example: bullying in schools. Or business. Or politics."
I agree that language can come off socially, emotionally, or spiritually hurtful. But I think as far as Trump is concerned, specifically with regards to immigration; he would highlight the fact that drug dealers, human traffickers, and violent criminals are crossing en masse and it puts a heavy burden on the social welfare and the legal system.
However, by the time the media gets a hold of it and has their way with his words, they reframe it and go on air with complete lies saying something to the effect that: "Trump thinks all Mexicans are drug dealers and criminals." The MSM outlets have gotten so hilariously corny in their attempts to tear Trump apart that it's become a tragic comedy. They're destroying their reputation with each attack on his character. It's cartoonish as all hell, and the epitome of the clown world that we now live in. They'll take partial quotes and half-truths and fabricate whole lies.
You should do this just for yourself, try and come up with one example of what he said and then compare the article to the video of his words in context, and unedited. I think you'll find you've been gaslit on many issues. Politics and business are very cut-throat, and for him to accomplish even a modicum of what he has thus far, made his brazen personality a requirement.
I remember when they tried to paint Ron Paul as a racist and he was so honest and timid that for the most part, he allowed them to walk all over him. The politically correct BS is so god awful boring that I think many people find Trump's style refreshing. Whereas the PC politicians try and lull you to sleep with their neuro linguistic speaking patterns and whatnot.
Their language is meant to stop you from thinking. It makes your eyes glaze over while they take the country for all it's worth. They sell it off piecemeal, a chunk at a time to foreign nation-states in exchange for fattened accounts in the Cayman Islands.
It's always great to chat with you @torico! You're my favorite person on steem to debate with. I think we can always agree to disagree, and also hear each other out fully. It's been great talking with you today, but if you reply again I might have to wait for tomorrow to respond. I feel a great nap approaching, at the very least I hope it's a power nap and there's a tad bit of rem in there.
