Practices which help me to stay Grounded by
@ayamihaya
My voice starts to shiver if I try to talk in this situation I reach out of breathe. When my breathe gets shortened and I sweat a lot. Everyone has problems in their life and they have their own way to scope up with it. So, somehow gradually through the time I have figured out my center which helped me to stay grounded from these and made me feel much better with myself!
What keeps you grounded? by
@ibbtammy
In this crazy world where things can move from good to bad in a split second or where bad things happen to people concurrently and the worst part is that these bad things are not written on our faces, you can be robbed today and be robbed tomorrow again, there’s no inscription on your forehead that says “she just got robbed, spare her”, nothing of that sort.
Stillness Amidst The Turbulence by
@wongi
With each passing day, we are clouded with different challenges and our ability to stay afloat plays a vital role in such a situation. The techniques to stay afloat come really naturally to some people while others struggle to find their centre. In the end, what matters the most is that you fight the battle and come out victorious.
Your rhythmicity energizes me by
@marilour
I tell you that one night in a hospital in my country Venezuela, eighteen hours of continuous work, without the necessary rest, were taking their toll on my body, undermining my balance. I was exhausted and tired, I needed to come back to myself, to feel peace for a few minutes, to reconquer my center.
Three Ways To Avoid Going Insane! by
@zitalove
In my moments of tribulations, the first thing that comes to mind "Baby girl let it out, just cry". Now you might think that I’m just being a child or a typical woman, or even that I’ve never encountered real life problems. I’m not going to argue with you on that. I am going to say though that a hundred percent of the time I have cried, I feel way better afterwards.
One potato two potatoes by
@strega.azure
Playing with the soil gives me a strong sense of reality. The soil behind my fingernails, the pain in my back after a day in the garden. It could be mowing the lawn or replanting flowers. It doesn't matter. This kind of physical work makes my reality as clear as a mountain stream. Direct contact with nature gives me the occasional feeling that I belong, that I am part of it.
My girl by
@dreemsteem
I always thought I was a boy mom. I have never been a girly girl, though I could pretend well enough. But if I actually gave birth to a girl, how well could I pretend? Wouldn't I ruin her?
Surprise, our last baby was born... "It's a girl!"
I was thrilled ..and terrified.
Third Place- Quiet In The Storm by
@jhymi
In those times when it feels like you’re finding it difficult to breathe, it feels like you’re losing your sense of self, you feel suffocated like the walls are closing in on you. Or maybe it’s not that deep and you’re just stressed and out of your depth and just need any means to regain your sanity and peace of mind.
Second Place- Grounding myself by collecting Herbs for Lammas by
@beeber
For me, "finding my centre" and "being grounded" are two different things. I can find my centre in meditation, painting and writing, even listening to music, and rest within myself in flow. But when it comes to feeling really grounded, I also need my body be involved by a movement or a touch. Mind, soul and body are one unit. And only when all three are in balance, connected to nature, to our origin, do we achieve what I would call grounded.
First Place- Fully Present by
@owasco
It didn’t take long for me to think of a myriad other ways that I use to “center” myself. I hug trees, I sing, I pet my pets, I nurture my plants, I finish my to-do list, I do a crossword puzzle or I hit publish on a post. Pretty much anything I accomplish, large or small, gives me a moment of calm open brightness, a fullness of being, a moment of peace. The question then became, do I have to do something to center myself? Is centering something I can achieve just by breathing?
