On Saturday, my daughter and I hiked to Crying Dog Waterfall. The weather is great these days, so we've been trying to get out on the weekends if we can.
This was a nice short hike, and we reached the waterfall after about half an hour.
The water was fresh and cool. We took off our shoes to put our feet in the water and enjoyed climbing around on the rocks.
We were happy to find this beautiful place and definitely plan on returning soon.
I hit 12,923 steps by the end of the day, surpassing my daily goal of 10,000 steps for the eighth day in a row. I am over halfway to my current personal goal to hit at least 10,000 steps for fourteen days in a row, and I'm over halfway there. I was actually surprised I didn't have more steps after the hike, but in retrospect, the hike was only about 3.7km, about the distance of my normal daily walks. The hike probably just felt more strenuous due to the uphill climb.
On our way to the waterfall, we saw many butterflies. These two stayed still just long enough for me to lean down and snap a pic. Hiking, appreciating nature, posting proof of activity, and reaching my goals, in this way, I am happy to report I am #AliveAndThriving. I hope your Saturday is full of positive experiences and look forward to reporting on tomorrow's adventures in being alive!
Peace, Thoth442
