Steemit is basically a social community where you get paid for socializing.馃槒馃槈馃槈
These are a few things I've picked up which I'd like to share.
鈥ost everyday. This is personal for me. Cos I know what it feels like when a day passes by and there's no reward button to click on in my wallet. 馃槩馃槩 avoid that scenario like the plague. 馃槒馃槒
鈥et in contests. Don't get in it to win though winning should be on your mind. Get in it to have fun, meet new people from different spheres of life, make friends, even get new followers, and learn something in the process.
鈥pvote your community members and comment under their posts. It helps your reputation for one. For another, it's our community. That's why we are members. We basically grow together.
鈥neak around in different tags and upvote posts you like and comment on them. Please not boring monotonous comments though. This is my specialty馃槈
鈥lso upvote post that are likely to get popular. You know them by their reputation.馃槈馃檲馃檲
鈥lways Tag right. Tag local and international..... Still trying to wrap my head around this one. Learn more about it from 
鈥ut picture sources if the pictures aren't yours. It helps to increase your authenticity to people.
鈥omments help to increase your popularity and sometimes they tell other people the kind of person you are. You might find a kindred spirit 馃槉馃槉
鈥ollow some popular people. I call them gurus in the business. You get to learn a lot from their posts because they know their onions. 馃槄馃槄
鈥on't worry about promoting posts 7days and above. I've been told that after rewards are paid out, there isn't really much in them anymore. Except for content though which is very important.
鈥on't plagiarise. You will be caught. No full stop no comma. You will be flagged and your reputation will dwindle like a sack of Garri. Seriously I say Garri because that's the fastest finishing food in my house馃榿馃榿
鈥esteem cool stuff you would like to share with your friends and followers. Or you could just resteem for keeps. So u don't lose a post馃槣馃槣
