Today in Australia is Anzac Day, it is a day that marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. It is a sobering day to say the least but a crucial one to honour.
This little penguin is known as a Chinstrap Penguin and its name comes from the line that goes underneath its beak. It resembles that of the soldiers in World War 1 when they wore their helmets into battle. This penguin itself is one that can be described as feisty, its demeanour is one of a fighting spirit. In my mind a fitting tribute to those who have come before and fought in conflicts to protect our way home and way of life.
