so noisy all the time

Don't get me wrong, penguins are cute and adorable animals! However, two things most people are never prepared for when they expire the nesting regions of penguins are - 1) the smell, it is quite distinct and terrible; and 2) the noise. 40,000 penguins make a hell of a lot of noise, it can be hard at times to hear yourself think.

I must say though, that even though the smell and the noise can be a tad confronting at times... It is still worth the money, time and effort to travel to this part of the world just to sit next to them and spend some quality time.
