Icebergs can be pretty damn big down here

So when we are down here "working" away running expeditions twice a day, there is a lot of waiting around on zodiacs, as they slowly lower them from the top of the ship from a crane, which can take easily 30+minutes. As we patiently wait in our individual zodiacs we typically are looking around the area with binoculars, scanning for animals and potential points of interest. However, sometimes you are basically overwhelmed by the presence of some pretty huge pieces of ice that are close by. Icebergs can be insanely impressive in size, like this one in the photo.

My co-workers are still a good few miles away from the iceberg in the distance, which can give you bit of an idea of how large some of these icebergs can actually be. We are still a full day away from reaching the peninsula at the moment and we should begin seeing more larger icebergs as the day progresses. Mother Nature is quite the artist, as no two icebergs will look the same and the are all captivating in different lights and of course various angles.

I don't think you can have too many photos of ice when you cruising in this part of the world
