Dreaming of Orca encounters

One of the most elusive and spectacular animals to encounter when you are out on the ocean is the apex predator, Orca. These incredible animals are stealthy and very difficult to interact with down in Antarctica, especially, from a zodiac, which is what makes an encounter even more memorable.

I have spent years interacting with these animals around the world on almost daily and no two encounters are ever the same. Their curiosity and individual personalities makes them the main species that everyone wants to encounter, probably more for the expedition crew than guests themselves. Hence, when we are in a known region for orca you typically will find a lot of the expedition crew in the bridge or outside at least scanning and searching for a glimpse of these predators. I can not tell you how many nights I have had dreams of these animals and then when wake up, I usually head straight to the bridge in search of them. I think it might be a problem actually...
