The curiosity of penguins is a marvellous thing, one moment you are looking around focused on something, which is usually a work thing and then you turn around and there is a penguin right in your face. This can happen from time to time, which does make you jump just a little simply due to the fact you are not expecting to be eye level with a tiny flightless bird.

After the initial jump from shock, I had time to get my camera out and snap a photo or two whilst this inquisitive bird just sat on their rock looking down on me and what I was doing.
