A fierce little guy.

Antarctic Fur Seals have a tough life and it seems as a result they have formed a tough attitude towards life. Hence this little guy's face, who looks as if he is attempting to intimidate someone else near by. To be honest, this little guy is only a few hours old on the shore of South Georgia Island. For the next few weeks he will be fed by mum in between her trips to forage the nearby coastal waters. After a few months this little guy will be on his own.

Judging from his face though, he is will prepared and is mentally ready for the whatever the natural world is going to throw at him.
