Grizzly bears are pretty amazing creatures to observe, especially in their own natural wild habitat. I have had the opportunity to work with these animals in the Great Bear Rainforest along the north west coast of British Columbia, Canada. To be honest, it is very humbling to be able to watch these animals natural behaviour in their world.
This day we happen to come up to a mother grizzly with 3 little cubs, whom were foraging along the shore of a river looking for anything they could eat. At this time of year, it tends to be salmon that happen to be heading up those rivers to spawn.
The mother decided to swim to the opposite side of the flowing river and the little ones waited for her to cross. Then out of nowhere, they got spooked and choose to start running along the shoreline upriver. After running for about 100m they stopped and nervously looked around for a few moments. They walked back down to where their mother was and then decided to jump in the river, crossing it and following their mother into the grass.
