It is my first time to attend a program of the BIMP-EAGA (Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines - East Asean Growth Area). 2019 BIMP-EAGA Strategic Planning Meeting was recently held in Hilton Hotel Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia on 12th - 15th February 2019 and I was fortunate to join as a participant with BEBC-SCE (Papar District) Sabah as the IT boy.
This event is part of the activity under the Social, Cultural and Education Cluster of the BIMP-EAGA. This SCE Cluster parallels the same objectives under the bigger ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) program with the vision of bringing together the ASEAN community.
Most of the delegations were from Malaysia. There was also representation from the business sector. While from the Philippines, there were participants from Palawan and Davao, and the National Commission on Culture and the Arts’ Ms. Adeline Suemith. The Philippine delegation was led by Dr. Gaspar Gayona of TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) who is also the SCE Cluster Head for the region.
I met this handsome boy @blackwoodborneo during the event but we are in a different cluster means we are placed in a different room. hahaha
To be continued on day 2...
