Omg! I still couldn’t contain my excitement from yesterday’s steemit bloggers meet up. Unlike the first meet up I attended, the yesterday’s meet up was just my 2nd and the exceptional.
The event was not just all about getting to know fellow Steemians but it was like a summer camp. The core leaders of @steemph.cebu and
@sndbox were our speakers. Since there were a lot of Steemians who attended the event with different purpose, we were divided into 3. Newbies Group, Existing Steemians Group and Financial Freedom Group where the main goal is to promote Steemit. I decided to go with the Financial Freedom Group.
According to them, Financial Freedom does mean being able to work at your own pace and doing things you enjoy. It means you are not being tied to a job or a location for financial reasons, but working at a job because you enjoy it, and living where you are happiest.
Our speaker was @smaeunabs, who is a licensed financial advisor and one of the curator of
@sndbox. She explained what Cryptocurrency is. From Bitcoins to Altcoins.
They also shared the importance of investment while we are still young. They suggested to give ourselves a try to get insurance for future needs. There are a lot of Insurance companies that are flexible and don't have fixed amount to how much you can contribute every month. I can't really summarize everything we have discussed but these are the learnings I got from that group discussion.
It was a fun filled discussion and all of us really learned from our speakers. I then went to other discussion and the speaker that time was @themanualbot.
He discussed how Steemit works and how to be noticed by whales in the community. That's the only topic I was able to grasp since I spent most of my time in Financial Freedom Group.
Even if I wasn't able to listen to their talk, @thegaillery and
@ybanezkim26 still managed to share to me some tips on how to make worth curie post. How to be you po? xD
I always look up to people who have great influence in the platform. I really admire them on how they became successful and how they want to share their success to others. Everybody was really game for everything and so open with their experiences.
It's the friends we meet along the way that help us appreciate the journey.
Overall experience was spectacular. That's all I can say. Thank you @itinerantph and
@ninyea for inviting us. To more meet ups we go! Steem on. Power!
Thank you for reading this.
PS. Can't wait to meet @surpassinggoogle!
