Totally unrelated cat picture, but who doesn't love some cute cat pictures?
I can finally say that weeks have passed and I haven't encountered any pain from the hernia anymore! Even when I dealt with the painkiller issues after stopping them (without success doing that cold turkey at first) I didn't swim for days and still managed to get through the days without pain. These days I picked up cycling as I noticed it helped me get through the episodes of heart palpitations.
The doctor told me that these symptoms were caused by the combination meds I used and that it was safe to take the combination with paracetamol in it. As I had a lot of them left, I'm now on half the dose I took from the heavier combo and will half that tomorrow to hopefully able to quit them without horrible symptoms next week.
I'm hopeful this will work out well and be done with them to never take them again. I have to say it's a bit weird taking them without having pain but these less heavy ones don't make me drowsy like the others do, so I barely notice it anyway thankfully.
If only I knew that swimming would be so good for back issues, I'd gone swimming much sooner but then in a closed pool because we don't have any open ones outside the summer months. Yes we have the sea but I don't fancy swimming there, only dipping to cool off, lol. We still have a month left with our community pool being open so I will have to take advantage of that while I can. I admit that by now, I'm not really feeling the need to swim daily anymore because it gets a bit boring after so many weeks, if that makes sense.
Today I already finished our swim session and we'll go back tomorrow because damn, it's getting hot already. Not that I would burn or anything but it's just not comfortable, I'm not the one to sit in the sun for hours and hours. Today we had the big pool to ourselves for 20 whole minutes, which rarely happens, usually the sport swimmers already appear within minutes after opening to do their round of swimming. We have quite a few of them in our building!
Last week my daughter made a friend and thankfully for her, she also arrived so they got to play a bit and will do again tomorrow morning.
I didn't have breakfast this morning and for some reason I managed to get through that until now (half past noon) without much issues but I really need to grab some lunch now so toasties it is (thanks for the inspiration, lol). This just means ham and cheese sandwich but in Holland we call them tosties (toasties).
Have a nice day ahead!
