That is exactly right! Outcome goals are fine and all because it gives you an overarching purpose to shoot for. However, it is often more effective to set smaller, more realistically attainable goals for yourself to accomplish short-term to keep yourself on track and feeling good about your performance - regardless of the outcomes!
