Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani is set to return to La Liga next season.
Edinson Cavani's contract with Paris St Germain expires at the end of the season.
According to Calcio Mercato, Cavani enjoys a keen interest from Atletico Madrid for his services.
Cavani will not renew his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, as coach Thomas Tokel relies on the efforts of Argentine Mauro Icardi, on loan from Inter Milan.
At the end of the season, PSG are expected to activate the purchase clause in the Mauro Icardi contract, squandering Cavani's chances of playing mainly.
Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is seeking Cavani's services by the end of the season, with a top scorer.
