Despite positive gains in the US stock market, the economy continues to plummet even further; with foreclosures increasing, mass layoffs, more people becoming homeless, the poor relying more and more on food pantries and government assistance.
There's also the fact that a number of bankers have committed suicide as their investments continue to decline due to ongoing financial crisis
Even families are squatting in their own property despite having utilities like electricity, water, and heat being shut off due to non-payment of said utilities.
