I woke up this morning as I always do with ideas on how the world works. Thoughts came to me this morning about how time words and how we only see it in pieces.

They say everything happens at once yet we only capture a little piece of it time and again. The mind creates this limited filter for us almost like a camera and its lens does when it focuses on just one part of a whole.

Example, you look at the room and see everything, couches, chairs, walls, curtains. Yet if you take a photo you may only focus on one thing at a time. Assuming you use a small lens.. As the lens opens more you get and capture more, but never really capture all of it. The sense, the knowing is not available in the photo.

This is where we can see how the limited YOU is put together. A thought. I am MIKE appears and thus then the amazing limited separate lens takes hold and since Mike is limited and separate, then so will be all that appears and comes to him. So if I wake up and say " I am Mike" then everything that happens in the day will be labeled by thought to support the limited separate Mike. Emotions and fear, planning and setting up ways to make MIKE happy. This is exhausting.

How did we end up like this? Stuck in this limited expressional lens separated from what we really are? And look what it creates? A feeling of complete fear, anxiety and all the emotions that come with it.

We have these senses which help us determine who we are as an individual. These senses support the lens of separation.

Touch
Sight
Taste
Smell
Sound

All of these senses we are taught help us define a story of an US here and these things, or others over there.

Are there ways to experience these senses and use them in a different way that support present awareness vs the story of an individual? Can this be done? Lets try and see?

Ok here they are:

Sight

We are taught to look at objects and name them. The mind controls this, its all mind work. Suppose we try to see the objects instead. The word here "Seeing" means to view the objects from the place where seeing takes place. Vie the objects not as "over there" but as appearing within and being projected. See the invisible "beingness" permeating through the object. Now this allow you to See and Look and Label. All at once, never losing your true grounding as present awareness.

Touch

Just as looking we are taught to touch and label the same way. Suppose we incorporate "feeling" into the touch. Take a breath and feel the tree. Touch it yes, but also feel it. Where does the sense of feeling begin. Where is its grounding

Taste

Don't taste to determine if the taste fits your story. Let the taste be and feel it go deep along your senses. Where does it end and begin? What does the taste ride upon?

Mind

The mind is the most complex. The first re-learling that can be done here is to explore that "you are not your thoughts". What is here? What is the present aware space that all thoughts land upon? Where does mind begin and end?

Smell

The scents of life can carry us away in the mind and into story also. Instead take a breath and feel the sense of smell. What is that smell, where does it begin and end?

Once these senses are re-learned adding the present awareness to their curent use, then life will open more and more. A new dimension will appear and a flow will happen. The separate lens will be lifted, the whole of life will be seen. Time will end and open.

:)
