What any project can learn from Holozing?

Every time I claim my holozing rewards I am intrigued by the model the holozing team is employing to keep the community engaged.

I am one of 1574 users who are a part of the community and one of 1005 users who claim their zing rewards everyday.

I often wondered what it takes for a web3 project to succeed. Holozing is a play2earn in the making and a perfect case study to understand what a project needs to build momentum and genuine interest before it is launched.

Community support is the key to success for any project

For any project to succeed there is a long journey from the ideation stage to the point it has a product it can sell.
A lot changes in this journey full of ups and downs and a few constants.

Luckily there is a whitepaper in place for holozing which lays down in quite clear terms as to what the project is and how and in what direction it is moving.

Well following in line with this sentiment the daily 1 zing token reward that was being given out as part of the Holozing December advent calendar however there is bigger and better news from holozing.

Big discounts for the Holozing loyalist!

I have to admit that I felt super excited to be claiming one full shining and extra Zing token.
Some people would look at the value of zing tokens however for true zing fans like me every extra zing token claimed feels like striking gold.

That is not all, the announcement from the @holozing account confirms my hunch.
I had a feeling that those who participated in the December advent zing token claiming event would be eligible for some kind of benefits in the long run.

The news from @holozing states that those who participated and claimed their December advent Zing bonus tokens would get discounts in proportion to the days they claimed the December bonus rewards.

Thus if a person claimed just once then he or she would get 1% discount on the starter pack and the Healer purchased in the Holozing sale once it goes live.
Luckily for me I was able to claim on all 31 days of December so I would be getting a 31% discount.

The Holozing numbers say a lot

I like to look at some holozing numbers to study trends and feel quite excited looking at the way the zing tokens are being lapped up in the claim drop on a daily basis as well in the December bonus event.

Such promotions and events are a good yardstick of how successful a project is in terms of generating community participation and engagement.

Looking at the Holozing December participation numbers one finds.
There are 1574 registered accounts out of these 1005 user accounts managed to claim their share of rewards during the December event.

Normally such events would have quite a substantial cost associated with the event. However for holozing the event was sponsored by the @poshtoken account.
The rewards of 37,002 ZING were paid out and half of them came from the @poshtoken account sponsorship.
If we breakdown the numbers then 18501 Zing tokens came from the sponsor
Working at a cost of $0.005 per zing this works to $92.505

Can this be done outside the hive blockchain?

Well full credit goes to @acidyo and the team for pulling this amazing feat.
If you tell any project team that the holozing team managed to keep 1005 users coming back on a daily basis and engaging with the project then anyone would think of a budget of a few thousand or more dollars.
Tell them that @acidyo and the rest of the holozing team did it for $92.505 and it would make people fall off the chair.

I am claiming my rewards daily and am so far satisfied with my progress.
I was hoping for a price drop for the Zing tokens. However after touching 0.004$ per zing it has climbed back to $0.005 per zing.

My strategy for accumulating Zing

Claim once and claim many times a day. Since the rewards can be claimed many times a day and that too with zero gas fee so why not claim them as many times as possible.
This not only keeps one involved with the game ecosystem but also helps the power of compounding ensure that the rewards grow at a faster pace.

Currently I am 3.72K staked Zing token and have 1K HP delegation to the @holozing account.

I am working towards my 5K zing token target.
