​I was told my great grandfather was a rabbi in Portugal and his son went to Brazil to get away from him. So I guess that would mean I’m part Sephardic Jew.

The people who comprise most of the Israelis are called Ashkenazi Jews. Supposedly they are from Turkey/Russia and they have no claim, no ancestral rights to what is called currently Israel. ​
