#IAmChallenged - Day 6 (#IAmAliveChallenge, #LukeIsAlive, #MyHiveGoals, & #IAmEngaged)

Well...I am starting earlier to day because I did a little planning ahead. I knew I would be smoking a brisket all day and would need extra time for that, so I started my daily activities before I went to bed last night. That has afforded me the opportunity to get a jump on this post so that I can do it between the times I check on the meat. So let's get started...

As I continue to consider how I am blessed, I only have to look as far as my back porch for today. As I said, I have a brisket on the smoke as I prepare for tomorrow's Independence Day holiday. Even though I have been furloughed from my job, the unemployment I am receiving is enough for us to get by and a little extra for splurges like a brisket. A piece of meat that large is not in our normal grocery budget, but we have been blessed to be able to include one for this holiday. We should be able to portion it out and freeze several meals from it.

#IAmEngaged

If you have been following these posts, you will know that I have a desire to encourage people to capture their family history and store it on the blockchain so that, in theory, it will be saved forever. In that vein, I have created a new Family History community for people to store their family history stories. As a part of this initiative, I have been including many family history related posts in this section. My plan is to start creating posts in the new community linking to these posts so that there will be a collection of stories added quickly. I will also include my take on these posts and suggestions on capturing your own family history. Check it out.

@cardinalkpatrick - "Making a Difference in the World. To Co exist or To Live in Conflict ? To Be a Hero or To Not?" is the story of the author's 6th great grandmother was saved by a Cherokee woman and the connection that was established between the two women.

@bigtom13 - "Travels With Cleo and Gunner Life Changing Moment" is about the time between the author enlisting in the navy and the moments before leaving for boot camp.
