It doesn't matter what you're trying to achieve in life you will struggle to make significant progress as long as you are afraid of knowing the rest of the world temporarily everyone is currently trying to get your attention.
If you don't actually guard your time and energy you just spend your time. And if your whole life doing everything superficially and achieving nothing substantially you might actually end up with some money and status while being a compliant worker but you also feel empty inside because you always know that you are merely working in your own space.
The jollies are not nearly as meaningful to you so a successful journey exists with the courage to make your own choices not give back and keep moving forward despite consequences of the inevitable mistakes
you have to do it. I love doing it.
