“We artists are often counted as awkward by people who know nothing of how it feels to have another spirit live within you - the muse... Even some artists don't understand us, the mused ones, as our muses have faces and clearly appear to us, while all they have is the inspiration and not the muse. But ancient people knew of them... They said muses were goddesses and ruled upon the arts... It is true. When a muse forms into your mind and splits your spirit in two, you are already seized by it, controlled by it, and so you are bound to serve it and create masterpieces...
It is not just we who create muses. They create us too. They form us into who we are.”
MY MUSE - DEEP DREAM
This was a 9 level transformation in Deep Dream which I then cloned details back with use of clone and history brushes in Photoshop, using the original photo of my artist muse from 2007.
Original and Transformation
The Original Photo
Deep Dream Level 2
Deep Dream Level 4
Deep Dream Level 6
Deep Dream Level 8
Deep Dream Level 1
Deep Dream Level 3
Deep Dream Level 5
Deep Dream Level 7
Deep Dream Level 9
It was this Level 9 that I then took into Photoshop where I sized the original and the Deep Dream image to the same size and began cloning and painting pack and forth with the history brush. The plan is to use the same technique on some other Deep Dream generated images. Stay tuned - I also transformed a recent selfie that needs the same "treatment".
