So I decided to leave bad weather behind and hit up the Canaries. So far this is what I've discovered.
Not much vegetation, but great weather, its a trade off as you need rain to provide water for plants to grow, which in turn makes the environment beautiful. Some rain is better than no rain. Never thought I'd say that!!
