Kirstie's rabbit Snuggles recently gave birth to a litter of ten baby rabbits. Out of the bunch, nine seemed perfectly healthy with a sole rabbit visibly sick. The others grew strong and healthy over the next couple of weeks. The hopped around, ate and grew.
One didn't flourish like the others. They were born white in a litter of black bunnies. He's considered the runt of the litter and it's obvious to see why. They sleep more than the others and is not as active. I hope they survive this ordeal.
The litter was taken to the vet upon birth for inspection. Even Dr. Jane said it's very common for a few to not thrive like the rest. This isn't necessarily a bad thing and they may develop out of this condition.
A few more months has passed and the runt is showing signs of recovery. He is playing more with his brothers and sisters. His small appetite has increased and he doesn't seem as lethargic as those first few months.
As more time passes he grows stronger and independent. You can see he's a fighter and literally stands out from the pack due to his distinct coat of fur. A late bloomer seems to be the case here and it was worth the wait to see him thrive like the others.
The rules are simple. Write for five minutes uninterrupted. If you're interested you can read all the details, I look forward to reading what you come up with in a simple 5 minutes. Have fun!
