You raise a good point about the asteroid Psyche - and the amount of money there - I think if we had a normal world - like in the old movies, where people do things based on logic and things like that - we could send up remote space craft, or at least think about how that would be done, in order to mine something like that - but in this world, people are powerful because of rarity - gold is worth something because is rare - I think there is not going to be any space mining that would bring any prices down - but I could be wrong. When you talk about asteroids though, my understanding is, Earth has all the minerals we would ever need - its just getting to them. There is an ocean under the crust, so they say, that is larger than the oceans on the surface - unless I am misremembering, probably so - but that space is just below us. And we can't even get there. I mean, deep under the oceans there is a lot of gold - but we can't even get there. I don't think we are going to space anytime soon to mine anything - unless we had good pragmatic / inspiring leadership, that wanted to do things never done before - that so far, I have no observed in the population of this planet. Our leaders only destroy - they don't create.
Thanks!
