You make a good point about the AI 'sorting'. I don't know if this is some stock play - being a very helpful rumor that makes them look like they have found the crown jewels - but if the other rumors are true that Elon seems to be feeding then it might come down to the cornering of definition -with Microsoft involved it has to be characterized as AGI for them to earn anything out of the deal - at least according to the rumors - whereas if it is GPT-5, so the rumors go, then apparently they get a slice of that pie in the same way - I think they have moved in to take over the company myself and most likely the AGI is lies (they probably spread the rumors even posted on 4chan idk) - however, the proof will be in the pudding so to speak -so we will see. I hate Microsoft though, anything they touch is poison. This is why I am hopeful that there are leaks of all the tech. If there is enough disgruntled people from all this circus show at Open AI, then hopefully someone starts leaking.

I agree about AGI being used to scare people, like you said. That could be the next card on the table for sure. Given how much fakery out there there is - you don't even have to have it to make people think you have it - thinking you have it, is enough to gain all kinds of control. This world is a very dirty game. Mud is everywhere. Lies upon lies, is the only sure thing from those in control. That is why movement in the open source area of AI is so important.

When I grew up - I had a similar life, or my parents did - about what you say about local /tradeexchange - we traded a lot of vegetables and fruit - it was amazing how far you could get without talking about money. We traded mainly for other food - got to know local business - i.e., traded lemons for instance at a bakery - it was an interesting time. One day I hope to go back to it.

About what you say about money - money is in essence, or has been turned into, a kind of magic really - it is based on nothing but thin air - the very reason it exists now, post-gold standard, is pure belief. Those that control things - at least here in New Zealand, had a sleeping population that never batted an eye when they removed the gold from our money - I still remember sitting in the back of my parents' car in the early 1980s and looking at the gold strip (which game it is value)- a decade or so later, it was gone, a decade after that it was pure plastic - that's right, our money in New Zealand is made of a type of plastic - remember the saga about them banning plastic straws in New Zealand? Just don't ask about the money - they won't like that. But I guess - maybe in the future they will ban that as well, when they move us all to the digital currency / credit sore.

I think money is the largest and most powerful occult creature that exists. If anything - like you allude to, which I agree with - it removes us from our social nature, which always was to trade and depend upon each other and build deeper relationships with those around us locally. It is an anti-human invention.
